The Drosophila research community of Rennes is pleased to host the 36th edition of DrosoFrance, which will take place in Trégastel, Brittany, from October 5 to 8, 2026.

This biennial conference has, for several decades, been a major scientific event that structures and unites the French community using Drosophila as a model organism. Every two years, the meeting brings together between 100 and 120 researchers for interactive and stimulating discussions focused on recent advances in a wide range of fields, including developmental biology, stem cells, epigenetics, mechanobiology, immunology, and neurobiology. Over four days, researchers from French and international laboratories will present their work through oral presentations and posters. These scientific exchanges will foster in‑depth discussions and the emergence of new ideas, collaborations, and research dynamics at both the national and international levels.

DrosoFrance is also an important milestone in the training of young scientists. PhD students will have the opportunity to present their results in English in front of an audience of experts and to receive constructive feedback. Several biotechnology companies will also be present to showcase their latest innovations and engage with participants. To encourage interactions in a friendly atmosphere, several networking events will be organized, including poster sessions and a Power Hour dedicated to exchanges between students and invited speakers about career paths and professional experiences.
